Mr. Jeff Pfister

Mr. Pfister has been teaching Driver Education for more than 10 years and is passionate about helping young drivers build confidence and teach techniques to help new drivers of any age be as safe as possible.
Mr. Pfister has earned a Master of Arts in Technology Education in 2013 and Bachelor of Science in Earth Space science from Indiana University Bloomington in 2002 with a minor in physical science.
Mr Pfister has experience in a variety of fields that range from engineering, teaching astronomy, meteorology, physics, as well as teaching online and curriculum writing. Currently, Mr. Pfister teaches: Astronomy I, Astronomy II, Chemistry, and Earth Space Science education.
He is passionate about preparing students for success through hands-on learning, problem-solving, and real-world applications and exploring potential careers.
Along with teaching, Mr Pfister has coached football and incorporated study tables for athletes, taught drivers education, and enjoys barbecuing, tailgating, IU, ND and Colts football games. He is husband to an incredible wife and father of two wonderful children.
Mr. Cory Cooper

Mr. Cory Cooper has been teaching Driver Education for more than 20 years and is passionate about helping young drivers develop the skills and confidence needed to be safe and responsible on the road.
Mr. Cooper earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from Ball State University in 2001 and a Master of Arts in Technology Education in 2003. He also holds an Administrative License from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Driver Education Endorsement from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI).
Throughout his educational career, Mr. Cooper has served in a variety of leadership and instructional roles, including Engineering and Technology Teacher, Assistant Principal, Athletic Director, and District Coordinator of Cybersecurity and Computer Science.
In addition to his work in education, he has experience working for several Fortune 500 companies and the Beaufort Digital Corridor technology hub in South Carolina.
Currently, Mr. Cooper teaches Aerospace Engineering, Introduction to Engineering Design, Advanced Design Engineering, and Civil Engineering and Architecture at Hamilton Southeastern High School. He is dedicated to preparing students for success through hands-on learning, problem-solving, and real-world applications.
Outside the classroom, Mr. Cooper has coached varsity football, boys and girls basketball, boys and girls tennis, soccer, and VEX Robotics. His South Carolina VEX Robotics team captured a State Championship in 2021. He and his wife are proud parents of five children, ranging in age from 10 to 23.

Are all instructors certified by the State of Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles?
Yes
Are all vehicles dual controlled with an instructor brake pedal?
Yes, as well as a dash cam, and several other safety features that Toyota has incorporated into the 2025 Camry.
Students - "When can I start driving in the car with my parents?"
If you are enrolled in a driver education course and have obtained your learner's permit, you can legally drive with your parents. If you are at least 16 years old and not taking a driver education course, once you have received your learner's permit, you can start to practice driving with your parents.
Are you able to see licenses of instructors?
Yes
Students - "If I start driver educaiton and get my permit, then stop going to driver education (or stop doing an online course), can I keep driving on my own permit?"
The online programs and the licensed schools are required to keep track of your progress in the course. If you stop attending or participating online, we will first try and contact you to find out why. If we are unable to contact you, or if you don't respond, we will contact the BMV and have your permit invalidated. If you continue to drive and are stopped by law enforcement or are involved in a collision, you could be cited for operating a vehicle without a valid license. This could also affect your ability to get a new permit/license.
Students - "If I start a driver education course with one school, can I transfer the work that I have completed or do I have to start over?"
Current rules allow for the transfer of classroom instruction from one school to another where the behind the wheel phase will be completed. However, this is contingent upon the second school accepting the coursework and records from the first school. The second school then becomes the school of record. We accept all online and in person 30 hr BMV certified schools in the state of Indiana.
Students - "If I take an online driver educaiton classroom course, can I drive with my parents once I start that course? Can I drive with them when I finish the course?"
No, effective July 23, 2019, online programs will no longer be issuing the CDE form needed to obtain the permit. You must complete the online portion of the course and provide the certificate of completion from a licensed driver education school. Once you have provided the correct documentation and have registered and paid for the behind the wheel portion of the course, the driving school will issue the CDE form, and you will be able to then get your permit. You cannot legally drive until you have obtained your learner's permit. We offer packages that incorporate the online with the six in car lessons. For us, as soon as payment is received, we email you your CDE form. This is a big time and hassle saver we provide our learners.
